- To undertake a correct handover from the previous shift and be fully aware of all activities in the hotel
- o manage and monitor all outlets in the hotel to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene whilst ensuring the highest standards of presentation of outlets and employees.
- To ensure that all hotel staff on duty are provided with the necessary information in regard to the relevant activities that are taking place in the hotel. To spot check these employees to ensure the customer is receiving the highest level of service.
- To ensure any staff issues including lateness / absenteeism / disciplinary actions are relayed to the General Manager.
- To undertake show rounds of the hotel for potential clients and third parties, ensuring that all staff are aware of the show-rounds and that the hotel is presented in a very positive light.
- To ensure that all guests are greeted with a friendly welcome and offered the highest standards of guest care and customer satisfaction throughout their stay.
- To ensure that any complaints that happen during your shift are dealt with at the time, recorded and followed up to ensure the customer is happy.
- To implement the Hotel’s Fire, Health and Safety Procedures (Inc. HACCP) and ensure that all staff have full knowledge of and are able to act upon these procedures.
- To ensure that all areas where stock is located are secured at all times and that stock is dispensed as per the standards set.
- To ensure a proper handover has taken place from the events staff and ensure the rooms are set up correctly, organisers are met on arrival, food & breaks are served on time, rooms cleaned during breaks and organiser met at end of function and all bills are settled as per credit policy.
- To ensure that all shifts are closed correctly and that all cash handling procedures are followed, cash and credit cards are balanced and cash is dropped as per policy.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a front of house hotel Supervisor/Manager role
- Excellent interpersonal skill
- Be fluent in both written and spoken English..
- Working knowledge of the Internet, Excel and Word.
- Good Knowledge of Food and Beverage operations
