- Coach staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
- Monitor turnover and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify individual and team development needs.
- Create and manage training curriculum.
- Establish clear measurable goals and objectives.
- Solicit ongoing feedback and provide coaching.
- Facilitate communication within the department.
- Understand corporate and global engineering strategies.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Understand business strategies as they relate to engineering.
- Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on strategy execution.
- Manage technical support as needed.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and streamline processes.
- Prepare forecasts for the department.
- Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis.
- Assess data gathering methods and optimize procedures.
- Prepare quotes for new customers.
- Forecast future requirements and technical trends.
- Lead equipment evaluations.
- Explore and monitor new processes to support customer requirements.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing/engineering processes.
- Proven track record in leadership, business analysis, and change management.
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
