Location: DublinSalary: CompetitiveThe Manufacturing Engineering Manager serves as the primary leader for manufacturing processes and systems within the organization, aimed at achieving superior performance and operational efficiency. This role supports business development efforts with current and potential customers and drives the development and implementation of both site and global manufacturing engineering strategies. The Manager is responsible for establishing optimal manufacturing methods and processes, leading a team of engineers in defining and implementing complete manufacturing processes, and ensuring effective utilization of equipment, production methods, personnel, and material flow. Exceptional support is provided to customers, team members, and stakeholders.Responsibilities
  • Recruit, interview, and hire engineering staff.
  • Coach staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
  • Monitor turnover and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify individual and team development needs.
  • Create and manage training curriculum.
  • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives.
  • Solicit ongoing feedback and provide coaching.
  • Facilitate communication within the department.
  • Understand corporate and global engineering strategies.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Understand business strategies as they relate to engineering.
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on strategy execution.
  • Manage technical support as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and streamline processes.
  • Prepare forecasts for the department.
Technical Management Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis.
  • Assess data gathering methods and optimize procedures.
  • Prepare quotes for new customers.
  • Forecast future requirements and technical trends.
  • Lead equipment evaluations.
  • Explore and monitor new processes to support customer requirements.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing/engineering processes.
  • Proven track record in leadership, business analysis, and change management.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
