The opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quality Manager to join one of Ireland's largest produce importers and distributors.Dive in to this dynamic role where your attention to detail meets the freshest standards in food quality management.Lead with precision in a state-of-the-art facility, fostering a culture of excellence every step of the way.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of food quality management alongside exceptional supervisory skills, ensuring the consistent adherence to the highest standards.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To manage the QC team in conjunction with the Quality Manager, with a focus on maintaining and elevating standards.
Cover for Quality Manager in their absence.
Drive and implement quality improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
To inspect, record and report on the product by carrying out the necessary checks to ensure customer compliance.
Ensure compliance with BRC, Organic Trust, and customer specific rules and systems.
Investigating non-conformances and customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent repeats.
Maintenance of the quality management system, and update/implement customer specifications as required.
Carry out internal audits as required, including staff compliance checks.
Ordering/Reordering of labels & packaging components.
Printing labels for intake and dispatch.

Key Skills:

Strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language.
Very strong organisational abilities.
Hands on approach.
Conscientious and committed with an eye for detail.
Ability to work on own initiative and in a team environment.
Must be able to work effectively under pressure.
Decisive with a need to be able to prioritise workload.
