- Ensure all cleaning standards, as defined in the agreement between the hospital and Bidvest Noonan Services, are met consistently
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards
- Participate in Environmental Management Audits with Hospital Ward/Department Managers if required
- Complete monthly audits of areas as directed by Contract Manager
- Ensure implementation of corrective action including re-audit
- Improve standards, which may have failed in previous audits
- Meet and liaise with the Hospital Ward/Department Managers, either on a scheduled basis or as required
- Participate in and make recommendations to hospital working groups as required
- Proactively solicit feedback from customers in respect of hygiene and cleaning standards
- Complete the staff rosters, in accordance with the budget
- Proactively manage the performance of staff within the contract in accordance with company Policy and Procedures
- Ensure that staff records are maintained correctly
- Handle Disciplinary, Grievances and conduct performance reviews with staff
- Mentor and provide leadership and guidance to staff
- Complete staff attendance records, ensuring hours claimed accurately reflect hours worked
- Complete the training of new staff in accordance with BIC'S standard as required and keep training records
- Complete competency assessments on a quarterly basis with all staff and records are kept
- Manage the budget as agreed with the client on behalf of the company, i.e. staff, materials and equipment
- Put secure systems in place providing for appropriate storage of all equipment and materials
- Take responsibility for Health and Safety Procedures on site on behalf of the company
- Ensure compliance with company ISO quality systems and procedures
- Carry out Risk Assessments in accordance with above procedures
- Facilitate the appointment of Safety Representative(s) on site, within the staff compliment
- Allow the safety representatives carry out inspections as required within the working day
- Ensure that all safety data sheets are up to date and filed/displayed correctly
- Check that all equipment is appropriately labelled.
- Review requests for repairs and liaise with appropriate hospital personnel in respect of same
- Ensure hospital waste and linen are handled in accordance with hospital infection control policy
- Carry out all other reasonable requests as they arise from time to time
- Provide support to the Contracts Manager, in the development of a good working relationship and excellent standards of service delivery to the client on site.
- Compose and respond to email communication from company and client.
- Create and update SOP for cleaning tasks on site.
- Review and adapt site schedules to best meet the operational needs of the site.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Attend training programmes and meetings as arranged from time to time
- Ensure all company information is kept secure and treated confidentially
- Observe all Hospital Policies & Procedures
- Liaise with Company Divisions, i.e. Industrial Division, as required in respect of special requests. To ensure additional work is carried out in a professional manner and in accordance with client expectation
