- Maintain a constant awareness of safety as it relates to Laboratory areas and participate in safety program as required.
- Perform all required raw materials, in-process and finished product testing
- Record results and interpret correctly
- Apply all relevant laboratory techniques and methods used to verify product quality and stability.
- Perform all work under CGMP guidelines.
- Assist in a variety of investigations, following up any out of specification results
- Recommend modifications, improvements or work simplification to SOP's etc as appropriate.
- Perform water and environmental testing as required.
- Ensure that EHS roles and responsibilities are complied with as per the requirements of the site Safety Statement
- Other project work as determined by Quality Manager and/or Quality Supervisor
- Previous experience is not essential although 12 months relevant industrial experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with HPLC, GC and other analytical instrumentation is essential
- LIMS/Empower experience advantageous
- Good computer skills.
- Demonstrated lean capability advantageous
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry
- Masters Degree (Added advantage but not essential)
- PhD: n/a (Added advantage but not essential)
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to work on their own imitative and as part of a team.
- Good problem solver with ability to troubleshoot equipment/testing problems as they arise.
