- Perform solution design activities to deliver valid and viable architectures which include but are not limited to views supporting application components, integrations, application communications, and security;
- Provide technical leadership and initiative to deliver new and complex, high quality solution designs in response to varying business requirements;
- Take ownership of non-functional requirements specifications, including but not limited to performance, availability, resilience, budget and regulatory compliance;
- Communicate the solution to ensure stakeholders and management understand it to the appropriate level of detail;
- Challenge and validate/define the scope to ensure that businesses can take the right decisions for the organization;
- Support and contribute to the presentation of decision-making material for top-management;
- Liaise with IT Security to manage risk of information and IT assets by applying appropriate standards and security policies;
- Incorporate knowledge of leading edge products and technology in conjunction with industry standards to achieve the required business results;
- Utilize a combination of Eurofins standard and custom solutions in support of developing complex, multiple year solutions;
- Abide by defined architecture principles;
- Be a key player within the organization, collaborate on innovative ideas and use proven approaches to deliver a winning solution.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience as Solution Architect for a major IT program involving multiple teams and/or projects, preferably in international context;
- Experience with on premise/cloud hybrid environments;
- Experience in designing Cloud/IaaS/PaaS/Serverless architectures;
- Experience with architecture modelling using visualization models such as C4;
- Demonstrated capacity to create professional architecture (significant decisions, roadmap, logical/physical viewpoints, etc..) and general technical documentation;
- Enterprise Architecture framework knowledge (i.e., TOGAF, Zachman etc.);
- Knowledge/expertise in one or more of the following domains: Infrastructure/technology Architecture, SOA style and principles, Domain-driven design, REST, knowledge of different architecture/design techniques (i.e., OO, Top-down, structured analysis, component-based design).
- Strong computer, analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication (concise writing and orally convincing) and inter-personal skills
- Work in home/office hybrid environment
- Capable to establish trust based on outstanding expertise with stakeholders
- Strong collaboration, partnership development, and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks concurrently and drive them to completion
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and identify ambiguity and drive for clarity

- Willingness to travel to Eurofins global locations on occasions (10%)
- Experience at the Enterprise architecture level;
- Experience working with distributed teams or offshore teams;
- Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in IT and software development awareness is desired.
