The EMEA IT-Service Operations team at TikTok manages the IT and AV infrastructure in our offices and ensures everything is running effectively, as well as supporting the technical production of our event spaces. We're committed to supporting the productivity of our users, and we help to create incredible experiences.About the Role
This critical and versatile role covers a wide range of areas within the IT Service Operations family. The engineer will have a focus on the end-user experience whilst working on a variety of tasks and projects; a real passion for how technology can enhance AV, production, and event solutions, as well as being heavily involved in the support and maintenance of the IT and network infrastructure in our environment.
The role requires the ability to work effectively with many types of people from across the business; from technical experts, to non-technically skilled stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAV
- Provide day-to-day support on technical specifications for internal and external events, productions, and livestreams.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks within our offices and be responsible for break/fix management, including but not limited to:
- Event spaces
- Studios
- Meeting rooms
- Training rooms
- Background audio systems
- LED Video walls
- Digital signage
- Test / Evaluate new and existing equipment.
- Ensure that equipment is running the tested and approved versions of software/firmware.
- Help enhance the experience of events and productions using complex engineering resources.
- Support on office build-out projects within the deployment team when required.
- Produce and update technical documentation.
- Facilitate end-to-end technical workflows for productions.IT
- Support and maintain the network infrastructure across the region
- Effectively manage tasks, incidents, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ownership of hardware and software upgrade projects.
- Work closely with cross-functional and international teams ensuring that operation standards are met with excellent collaboration.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the environment, identifying areas of improvement as needed
- Work closely and act as a point of escalation for the wider EMEA-IT team.
- Assist in developing standards, KPIs, and strategy for the region
- Provide excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management
- Remain current with industry trends and best practices
- Maintain best practices and act as an EMEA IT ambassador at all times
- Responsible for any other activities as reasonably requiredQualifications:Minimum Qualifications
- Deep understanding of front-line operation, maintenance and diagnostics on networked broadcast and production environments, as well as meeting room AV technology.
- Solid understanding of broadcast video infrastructure, such as video and audio routers, terminal gear, vision mixers, hardware/software encoding, with hands-on experience with a wide variety of broadcast setups, 4k video workflows, DANTE audio, and AVoIP
- Proven experience in networks; LAN/WAN, routing and switching, firewalls, SDWAN, VPN and tunneling technologies, SNMP protocol, DNS, DHCP, Linux, and WIFI design and operation
- Ability to read, understand, and write technical documentation.
- Proven experience in analytical and troubleshooting practices
- Comfortable working under pressure and delivering within tight timeframes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of an international teamPreferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working within AV & IT in similar roles
- Cisco, Aruba, VMWare, and Palo Alto experience preferred
- CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
- Avixa CTS accreditation
