New opportunity and something different!!Office Location: KildareWould also potentially suit a site based Engineer with an interest in preconstructionOur client is a leading international Main Contractor with offices in several European countries and North America.Involved in heavy industrial, manufacturing and Data Centre sectors they are currently investing in Preconstruction/Preliminary handover department, independently run with a responsibility for all Data Centre projects in Mainland Europe.You will report to a Pre-construction Director and work alongside preconstruction managers, logistics personnel, planners, and Mech/Elec engineers prioritising the standardization of DC design/preconstruction activities up to early-stage project delivery.Responsibilities:Understand the project deliverables and milestone schedule.
Read, interpret and create an earthworks strategy that produces the most commercially beneficial and best constructable solution for the project.
Create cut/fill models and earthworks sequencing aligned to the construction programme.
Investigate and produce a report for the constructability of all below ground drainage and utilities and substructure.
Ensure the procurement of the specific sub-contractors is aligned to the earthwork’s strategy, programme and sequencing.Requirements:
3rd level qualification in civil engineering
Capability of using earthworks modelling tools.
Exposure to large civil engineering/earthworks operational experience
Strong understanding of civil engineering and site development including different categories of earthworks.
Understanding of data centre construction and UG utilities/drainage advantageous.
