- Lead initiatives to optimize and improve medical packaging processes.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance the reliability and efficiency of medical packaging processes.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality assurance teams to maintain compliance and uphold the highest quality standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, operations, and R&D, to achieve common goals and milestones.
- Foster a collaborative environment to drive innovation and improvements in medical packaging processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure our processes remain at the forefront of medical packaging technology.
- Support the Production Team in setting the operational standards to achieve best quality.
- Support the training and development of co-workers.
- Conducts designed experiments as outlined by Design Engineer or Operations Manager and makes necessary adjustments throughout the study.
- Applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, and production history to evaluate a manufacturing/production process.
- Responsible for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment: attends required training, identifies and reports hazards; and is accountable for self as well as co-worker safety.
- conduct process studies related to process capability and improvement.
- To assist with delivery of all business KPI's and operational targets as needed in meeting company goals.
- Process diagnostics & troubleshooting in efforts to assist the Operations Team with target delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in medical packaging processes.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations, particularly ISO 13485.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Advance computer knowledge (especially in MS Word and Excel).
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Solid works.
- Good technical ability and aptitude / skills.
- Familiar with lean six sigma.
- Experience in Support of improvement & change processes.
- High energy, pragmatic, resilient & flexible.
- Preferably strong knowledge of medical packaging business, customers, and suppliers.
- Drive vision and purpose, using a strategic mindset to set priorities and drive results, keeping a customer focus while being open to suggestions of innovation.
- Work well within a cross-functional team.
- Use industrial standard troubleshooting tools to resolve issues e.g., DMAIC, 5 Whys etc.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written to ensure clear alignment.
- Must have a positive attitude and open mindedness to new ideas.
