Role:The goal is to ensure that testing operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organisation and demonstrate customer satisfaction at all times. The main role of the HGV Mechanic/ Tester is to carry out PSV, HGV, RSA CVRT and LGV vehicle tests on customer and company vehicles.Duties & Responsibilities:● Carrying out diagnostics on all vehicles● Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance● Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair● Diagnose faults and malfunctions and perform services and repairs● Perform inspections and test mechanical units● Use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair● Completion of documentation● Liaise with part suppliers for any parts needed for required jobs● Maintain repair and service records on each vehicle● Comply with health and safety standardsSkills & Qualifications:● Qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic (HGV Mechanic)● High degree of product and technical knowledge● Ability to work on initiative● Must be organised & self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills● Team player with a strong sense of commitment to the team● Demonstrate good work practices including time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness● Ability to work under pressure and to deadlinesBenefits● Continuous training● Development Opportunities● Health & Wellbeing Support● Competitive Remuneration Package● On Site Parking● Pension contributions of 4% on completion of probation● 20 days holidays per annum● Bike to work scheme
