- Actively monitor and respond to security alerts and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance our cyber security capabilities.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate security incidents and develop effective response plans.
- Maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats and industry best practices, continuously improving our security posture.
- Provide support to IT staff and end-users on security-related issues, promoting awareness and adherence to security policies.
- Participate in security compliance efforts, audits, and incident response activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Degree/Certificate in Cyber Security (Graduate) or related qualification and 1-2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Career level: circa 1 – 2 years professional industry experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse security events and conduct root cause analysis.
- Fluent spoken English, currently based in Ireland, already authorised to work for any employer in Ireland, and either currently based in the local Midwest area or have swift access to suitable local accommodation. (Sponsorship is not available).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, WAF and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
