- Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- A minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience, ideally in care of the elderly services
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working at CNM level or similar leadership role
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise and support care staff
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of HIQA standards and healthcare regulations
- Proven track record of achieving compliance in a similar setting
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and commitment to continuous learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage clinical governance and promote best practice in patient care
- Strong IT and documentation skills
- Leading and managing the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents
- Supporting the Person in Charge in all aspects of clinical and operational management
- Ensuring full compliance with HIQA and all relevant regulations
- Monitoring care plans and ensuring resident safety, dignity, and well-being
- Conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting training, development, and supervision of nursing and care staff
- Promoting a positive, resident-centred culture within the home
