- Effectively manage daily payment operations to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance.
- Identify and intervene proactively to resolve payment issues before they become a client facing or business issue.
- Leverage your existing network of contacts in correspondent banks, card issuers, FX brokers, and payment network providers to bring best of industry practices and thinking to how Solance payments team operates.
- Collaborate with our product and tech teams to help design and launch new payment products for our B2B clients.
- Contribute insights into B2B payment market trends, risks, issues and opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operations to improve Solance’s ability to detect and resolve operational issues and optimise payment costs, execution times and resilience.
- Create and refine standard operational procedures for payment and other operational workflows.
- Jump in to support any operational task as needed. We’re a small team and no one says, 'that’s not my job.'
- Oversight of third-party vendors and critical outsourcing service providers.
- Ensure operational readiness & resilience, in line with regulatory expectations, including compliance with DORA.
- Help to create an appropriate level of monitoring, alerting and reporting to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in AML, operational regulatory compliance, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven ability to support AML/CTF and transaction monitoring processes in the first line of defence in close collaboration with the Risk and Compliance function.
- Experience: 5+ years in payments and operations, preferably with an EMI, bank, or regulated payments business.
- Network: Well-connected in the payments and banking industry.
- Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of payment networks, FX settlements, correspondent banking, cars and emerging payment methods.
- Problem-solving: Able to troubleshoot payment issues and see them through to resolution.
- Startup mindset: Hands-on, adaptable, and ready to take on any task to help the team succeed.
- Your approach to issues is positive, approachable and a ‘getting things done’ frame of mind.
- Regulatory Compliance awareness: practical experience in AML, transaction monitoring, and the operational responsibilities of regulated payment institutions.
- Experience in outsourcing & third-party management, operational resilience and DORA compliance.
