Our client is currently seeking an experienced Flood Risk Management Lead to join their team in Galway, Sligo, Castlebar, Limerick, or Dublin. The Flood Risk Lead will be involved in providing flood risk management consultancy services for various project types across Ireland.Why apply with Sonas?

Responsibilities

Establish and oversee a team specializing in hydraulic modeling for projects in Ireland.
Drive business development initiatives in flood risk management.
Mentor junior hydrology and hydraulics staff while maintaining technical ownership of hydraulic modeling deliverables.
Serve as the technical and delivery lead for a significant portion of revenue-generating projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics, or equivalent field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally with 7 years of experience.
Chartered status (with EI, CIWEM, or ICE) or actively working towards chartered status.
Proficiency in 1D/2D modeling using at least one of the following software: Flood Modeller, MIKE, HEC RAS, InfoWorks ICM.
Experience with ArcGIS, Quantum GIS, or MapInfo.
Utilization of other digital tools and processes to enhance project delivery.
