Location: Co. LouthHybrid: Yes (1-2 days wfh)Job type: Full-time, permanentOur client, a growing firm, is seeking to welcome an Audit Manager to lead their team. This role has come about due to rapid and sustained growth and the onboarding of a number of key growth clients. This is a key leadership opportunity for a high-performing professional looking to take the next step in their career.The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team, managing a talented team and overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. The role offers strong work-life balance and a clear pathway to Directorship, with structured progression and the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the firm's ongoing growth strategy.Responsibilities
  • Lead the team in the planning, management and execution of audit engagements
  • Supervise and develop junior team members
  • Manage and review the work of the audit team
  • Manage a varied client portfolio, ensuring all engagements are delivered to a high standard
  • Research and resolve technical queries raised by clients
  • Monitor work in progress and billing as part of effective working capital management
  • Identify client needs and opportunities for additional services
  • Support the development and growth of the firm's client portfolio
  • Participate in client fee discussions and negotiations
  • Maintain a consistently high quality of work in line with relevant professional standards
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • Proven audit management experience, with 3+ years post-qualified experience
  • Strong technical expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams while working to tight deadlines and maintaining high standards
  • Strong professional judgement and decision-making ability
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • A collaborative team player with experience supporting and developing others
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to drive improvements and embrace new technologies where appropriate
