- Tax Compliance Oversight: Lead and manage all aspects of tax compliance for the firm including oversight of Employment Taxes & Mobility, VAT, Corporation Tax and Partnership Tax returns.
- Reporting and Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns and compliance documentation to the Irish Revenue, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
- Engagement with Authorities: Act as the primary point of contact for the Irish Revenue and other tax authorities, addressing inquiries and managing audits as necessary.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with specialist internal tax functions, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on tax processes and compliance initiatives.
- Key Relationship Management: Serve as the key relationship contact for EY Global from a tax perspective, facilitating communication and collaboration on tax matters across the organization.
- Coordination with Member Firms: Engage with internal tax advisers in other EY Member Firms to share best practices, align on tax strategies, and ensure compliance related to other jurisdictions.
- Technology Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of new technology and automated processes to increase the efficiency of tax reporting and compliance, while reducing risks associated with manual processes.
- Tax Guidance and Risk Management: Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance compliance.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on tax compliance matters, fostering a culture of tax awareness within the organization.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory roles.
- Extensive knowledge of Irish tax legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in managing tax compliance for partnerships or similar sized groups and familiarity with Employment Taxes, VAT, Corporation Tax and Benefit in Kind.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional tax qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing teams and projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
