
Senior Controls and Automation Engineer

- Develop control systems for industrial automation equipment, from concept to debugging PLC programs, primarily using Beckhoff packages.
- Utilize your excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operation of automation systems.
- Assist in installing and validating new or upgraded equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and technical documentation.
- Work as part of the Digitalisation team on the factory of the future project.
- Oversee relationships with technology providers and integrators, ensuring successful project execution.
- Create validated test procedures for process testing to meet internal and external requirements, such as ISO standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Automation Manager to define work packages and plan automation activities.
- Provide business case analysis to justify automation projects and implement approved solutions.
- Third Level, Level 8 Degree or higher in Controls, Electrical, Electronic, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years' experience in an industrial automation environment with a proven track record of success.
- Proficient in PLC packages (Beckhoff preferred, Allen Bradley & Omron beneficial), CAD packages, industrial automation design, and vision systems. Experience of working in the medical device industry.
- Ability to set up and execute experiments in a lab setting to close knowledge gaps and develop practical solutions.
- Dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
