Job DescriptionCpl Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse educator. The role of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Clinical Facilitator is with a renowned private Cork City Hospital who will be opening a new Cardiothoracic Service in early Autumn 2024.The Clinical Facilitator will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care in the CT service and Intensive care unit. He/she must demonstrate excellent work practices and acting as a role model use the necessary skills to educate others through coaching, mentoring and clinical expertise.To be considered for the role, the following criteria will apply:

Registered General Nurse on the live register with The NMBI

Demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality

Up to date knowledge in ICU Nursing

Higher Diploma in Intensive Care desirable

Previous experience in a Cardiothoracic setting, preferable.

Management qualification/educational preparation to degree level desirable.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a people management role.

Proven leadership and change management skills

Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills

Ability to make decisions with excellent organisational skills

Vision of development of service
