- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
- 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- 10 years of experience with legal, regulatory or corporate compliance, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
- Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
- Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex technical issues.
- Experience working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
- Experience managing projects and partnering with cross-functional teams, including strong attention to detail, time management and investigative skills.
- Analyse and Interpret laws and other compliance obligations into requirements for Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Provide legal advice on compliance programs and policies to help mitigate risk.
- Collaborate across the company to support, advise, coordinate legal strategy and find solutions.
- Manage government and regulator discussions, agreements, and disclosures on compliance readiness efforts.
