Our client, a leading mechanical fabrication and installation specialist, is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of high-value data centre projects across Ireland and mainland Europe. With a strong reputation in precision engineering and complex prefabrication solutions, the company supports major international data centre developments.This role is open to mechanical engineering graduates, junior mechanical engineers, and BIM engineers who are looking to transition into project management, as well as candidates with more established project experience.The role will require travel to Mainland Europe every few weeks to support site meetings, client engagement, and project delivery.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical fabrication and installation projects from planning to completion
  • Coordinate design, fabrication, logistics, and site teams
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships across European projects
  • Oversee site progress during regular European travel
  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality & safety standards
  • Manage schedules, budgets, resources, and project reporting
  • Ensure H&S, regulatory compliance, and commercial control (costs, procurement, variations)
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (graduates welcome)
  • Open to candidates from:
  • Mechanical Engineering (graduate or early-career)
  • BIM / Digital Construction backgrounds
  • Mechanical, M&E, or construction environments
  • Strong interest in project management and large-scale engineering projects
  • Understanding (or academic exposure) to mechanical systems, installations, or fabrication
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to BIM or project tools is an advantage
  • Full driving licence & valid passport (European travel essential)
Desirable:
  • Internship, placement, or early experience in construction, M&E, or engineering projects
  • Experience or exposure to BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks)
  • Knowledge of data centre, industrial, or pharma environments
  • Understanding of project delivery or coordination processes
  • Interest in pursuing PMP, Prince2, or similar certifications
