- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes
- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of HACCP practices
- Managing, supporting, and training any Commis Chefs
- Ensure department adheres to applicable legislation and that appropriate records are maintained
- Maintain and monitor guest satisfaction levels, operational quality and food costs on a continuous basis
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
