A highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in data warehousing technologies required for a Dublin based client. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data warehousing solutions by designing and implementing robust testing frameworks, conducting thorough test plans, and collaborating closely with our development and QA teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects while leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL, Power BI, and SSRS.Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for data warehousing solutions.
Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and product managers to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Identify, prioritize, and execute test cases for data integrity, accuracy, and performance.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations.
Create and maintain test data sets to simulate real-world scenarios.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on data quality and system performance.
Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the testing process.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and quality assurance methodologies.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as an SDET or software engineer with a focus on data warehousing.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for test automation and data manipulation.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and SSRS.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling.
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
