- Processing of reservations, cancellations and modifications promptly.
- To handle guest enquiries relating to the hotel including reservations, dining, and general queries in a competent and efficient manner.
- To respond to all Guests/prospective guests enquiries by email in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
- To be able to describe accurately all the bedrooms, services and facilities in the hotel and be fully familiar with all room rates available as well as rates of all services/facilities that can be offered.
- To proactively sell bedrooms at the best rate possible, ensuring that all opportunities to achieve upsell e.g. upgrades, dinner, activities etc. are maximized.
- To carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual.
- To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the Rooms department.
- Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special events.
- To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products.
- To answer the switchboard in a friendly & engaging manner, directing calls appropriately
