Responsibilities will include the preparation of project plans, schedule management, risk management, cost management and stakeholder/communications management. The Project Engineer will be working closely alongside the various surveying and data analytics subject matters experts. The Project Engineer will be responsible for regular tracking and reporting on project progress to both the Project Managers and to our clients.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support project management inputs into tender bid submissions.
- Support the development of PEPs, and other project documents during the mobilisation period.
- Create, manage and control project schedules, forecasts, and resourcing.
- Support the creation and management of project budgets, suppliers and tracking of variations, claims and project costs using a structured change control process.
- Identify, analyse and manage project risk, keep the risk register up to date and report risk updates as needed.
- Procure and manage external service support providers as and when required for certain activities.
- Undertake the lessons learned process on a regular basis and feed into continuous improvement.
- Create, present, and manage daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Attend daily, weekly meetings/calls and record minutes and meeting notes.
- Drive continuous improvement projects as required.
- Good people and communication skills;
- Organised and able to drive project delivery;
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing circumstances;
- An interest in sustainability and renewable energy;
- Relevant third level qualification (Engineering, Environmental, Science etc);
- Project Management skills and understanding of basic tools and techniques
- Project Management training and / or qualification (e.g. PMI, APM, Prince2 etc);
- At least 3 years' post qualification experience working on offshore, onshore wind and met ocean projects, utility projects, civil infrastructure, marine and / or renewables projects;
- Awareness of commercial and contractual management;
- Demonstrated ability to successfully implement and execute programmes of work.
- Strong emphasis on recording lessons learned, continuous improvement items and enhancing our processes and project management approach.
- Proactively identifying new areas of learning and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job;
- Ability to set own high standards of performance and delivering desired results;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office application, including Microsoft Project;
