- Oversee all finishing works on-site, including internal finishes such as flooring, painting, tiling, joinery, and final fixture installations.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and meets the required quality standards.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the finishing phase to ensure that all work is up to specification and free from defects.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on-site and promote a safety-first culture.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure work is carried out as per the client’s requirements and timelines.
- Manage the timely delivery and installation of finishing materials and resources.
- Conduct snagging and final inspections to ensure that the project is completed to the highest standard before handover.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Finishing Foreman or in a similar role within the commercial or residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades, including plastering, painting, tiling, and joinery.
- Experience managing teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the site team.
- Full understanding of health & safety regulations and on-site practices.
- CSCS Card and Safe Pass (or equivalent) required.
- A background in construction or relevant trades, with knowledge of Irish construction standards and regulations, is preferred.
- Professional qualifications or training in construction, such as a trade apprenticeship or supervisory role.
- Experience working with an Irish contractor or on Irish-based projects.
- Knowledge of construction software or project management tools.
