Job Description:We are seeking an International Director of Accounting for a 12-month FTC (Fixed-term contract) to partner with the accounting leadership team to lead our world-class international accounting team through the next phase of our Company’s journey. This person will oversee the accounting activities for our various international subsidiaries, including month-end close procedures, recurring journal entries and reconciliations, annual statutory audits and the related financial statements, and people leadership of our international accounting team members based in Ireland and India. This person will also partner with other teams in the department to ensure that international accounting policies are being considered, adopted and applied appropriately. This person will lead any other ad hoc and special projects pertaining to international accounting that arise.Who you’re committed to being:You have a deep understanding of international accounting and finance conceptsYou are a problem solver, who likes to build and improve processesYou are a self-starter and an original thinkerYou are a team player and want to work with a world-class teamWhat you’ll do:Lead the monthly accounting close process for our international subsidiariesLead the international accounting team members as their people and functional leaderOversee the annual statutory audits of our international subsidiaries, including preparing the annual international standalone financial statementsEnsure financial statements are prepared in accordance with the international accounting standards of the foreign subsidiariesEvaluate accounting issues related to non-routine and complex transactions, conducting research to identify applicable accounting guidanceMaintain an effective control environment, both financial and operationalAs necessary, assist in or lead special projectsConduct ad hoc financial/operational analysis as requiredExperience you’ll bring:Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersAttention to detail and good time management skillsRequirements:ACA/ACCA or equivalent requiredMaster’s degree in accounting or finance level of education from an accredited university5-7 years of accounting experience; 2-5 years Big 4 public accounting experience preferredNetSuite experience preferredPrior management experience preferredStrong knowledge of IFRSExperience with multi-national companies, namely US-based businesses with operations in India and IrelandFinancial reporting experienceAdvanced knowledge of ExcelHybrid Work Model: This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at our Dublin, Ireland office Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.
