This role requires a skilled professional who can lead a team of technicians while ensuring the highest standards of facility operations and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical technicians
  • Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and resource allocation
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide technical training
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols across all operations
Technical Operations
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues across multiple properties
  • Maintain building management systems (BMS) and energy optimization systems
  • Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations and safety standards
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers
Quality & Compliance
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure compliance with SEAI energy efficiency requirements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation
  • Support sustainability initiatives and carbon reduction targets
Required QualificationsEducation & Certifications
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field
  • Valid Safe Pass certification
  • FETAC Level 6 qualification or equivalent preferred
  • Gas Safe/RGI certification (advantageous)
  • F-Gas handling certification
Experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years mechanical maintenance experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience with commercial building systems
  • Knowledge of BMS systems (Trend, Honeywell, Johnson Controls)
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems
  • Knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations
