Key Duties & Responsibilities Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, bathing, dressing, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Mobility Support: Helping clients move around safely, get up, and go to bed, using aids or hoists if needed. Meal Preparation: Planning, preparing, and assisting with eating and drinking according to dietary needs. Medication Management: Administering medication as prescribed, providing reminders, and collecting prescriptions. Household Tasks: Completing daily domestic duties such as light cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Health Monitoring: Monitoring vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight, and reporting any changes to senior staff. Companionship & Emotional Support: Providing a friendly face, a listening ear, and engaging with clients to support their emotional and mental well-being. Activity Support: Encouraging clients to participate in physical activities, hobbies, and social outings. Appointments & Errands: Transporting clients to appointments, helping with errands, and booking necessary visits. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of the care provided, client progress, and updating care plans. Essential Skills & Qualities Compassion and Empathy: The ability to understand and share the feelings of others.
