Senior Speech and Language Therapist (0.6FTE)12mth Fixed Term ContractSaint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East Services are now inviting applications for the post of Senior Speech and Language Therapist.Dublin South East provides a network of education, training, employment, respite and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin.This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned service in the intellectual disability sector. We are funded by the HSE and as such the role is within the public service and subject to annual increments, generous annual leave, and pensions. The successful candidate(s) will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users.Minimum Requirements

A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy including full CORU registration.
An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in adult dysphagia
At least 6 months experience working with adults with dysphagia.
A minimum of 3 years satisfactory post qualification experience. Including experience in the area of Intellectual Disability.
Keen interest in Adult Intellectual Disability
Initiative, flexibility, excellent organisational, and communication skills.
Full Irish Driver’s License with access to own car.

Desirable

IASLT membership
Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
At least 6 months experience working in dysphagia with adults.
Lámh qualification.
Experience with AAC.
Experience working with individuals with behaviours that challenge.

This post has flexibility around start dates and annual leave periods.
Attendance and payment for Lámh module one training is also available.

Remuneration3379 Senior Speech and Language Therapist on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale.€58,559 - €68,998 (Pro Rata)LocationThe location of this role is Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CS’s other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
