We are presently recruiting a 3rd Year Mechanic for our clients, a well established family business in Macroom, County Cork . The company in question has a very strong after sales record and requires a 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanic to join their well-established team. You will be tasked with assisting Assist qualified mechanics in all aspects of the trade, NCT preparation, full servicing, recalls and other duties as required. This is a full time, permanent position, Monday to Friday job.Job Specification - 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanic

Assist qualified mechanics with diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of a wide range of vehicles.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under supervision.
Develop hands-on experience with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
Follow technical instructions, service manuals, and workplace procedures accurately.
Ensure all work complies with industry standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
Keep the workshop organised by maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
Record completed tasks, parts used, and report progress to supervisors.
Work collaboratively within a team environment while building independent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications - 3rd Year Apprentice Mechanic

Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Successfully completed first and second year apprenticeship requirements.
Strong understanding of basic automotive systems, servicing, and repair procedures.
Familiarity with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
Driving Licence
