- Assist qualified mechanics with diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of a wide range of vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under supervision.
- Develop hands-on experience with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
- Follow technical instructions, service manuals, and workplace procedures accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
- Keep the workshop organised by maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Record completed tasks, parts used, and report progress to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment while building independent problem-solving skills.
- Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
- Successfully completed first and second year apprenticeship requirements.
- Strong understanding of basic automotive systems, servicing, and repair procedures.
- Familiarity with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
- Driving Licence
