Role Overview:
We're hiring two experienced Equipment Engineers to support a large-scale re-validation and equipment relocation programme at a high-volume medical device manufacturing facility. The site is undergoing major upgrades involving several hundred units of legacy and automated equipment, including advanced robotic systems operating under specialised conditions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver equipment re-validations and relocation support for a broad portfolio of manufacturing assets
  • Independently author and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Generate qualification documentation using internal templates and technical inputs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, quality, and operations
  • Drive compliance with internal standards and external regulatory expectations
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation aligned with audit readiness
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives targeting equipment efficiency and reliability
Key Requirements:
  • Degree-qualified engineer (minimum Level 7 with 5+ years' experience; Level 8 preferred)
  • 6+ years' experience in regulated or high-spec manufacturing (medtech, general manufacturing, or high-speed food/bev preferred; sterile pharma not ideal)
  • Proven ability to draft validation documentation independently - not just review or edit
  • Exposure to equipment lifecycle activities including commissioning, FAT, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with robotics, automated handling, or mechanically complex systems beneficial
  • Familiarity with PLC-based control systems (e.g. Siemens, Orlacon, or similar)
