EHS Specialist role - RetailThe EHS Specialist will be tasked with driving the safety agenda within the clients Retail and Agri-Business, supporting and reporting to the H&S Lead, he/ she will support the wider Retail and Agri Operations team in achieving zero harm targets by auditing, advisory and training.Key Skills and competencies:
  • Confidence and an optimistic and proactive approach with a drive to meet targets and create change.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills are essential along with a proven ability to motivate, develop credibility, authority and respect within the business.
  • The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team environment and on their own initiative and be able to adapt to challenges as they arise.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Proven track record of strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise tasks and focus on and meet task deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to think outside the box and constructively challenge the status quo are essential for the role.
  • Be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
  • Strong analytical and auditing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and proficient report writing skills and experience.
  • Strong organisational, planning, prioritisation and time management skills

  • Qualification Required: Third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Work Experience Required: at least 2 years role related experience
  • Proficiency in report writing.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and metrics.
  • Computer literacy is essential and previous use of H&S Software.
  • A full driving licence.
  • Resilience with the capability of dealing with pressurised situations and deadlines
  • Works well with others with a demonstrated aptitude for collaboration as well as a track record of delivering on individual objectives
