As a Home Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to individuals who require support with daily activities, personal care, and companionship. This is a fulfilling opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our community.The successful candidate must:
  • Be a reliable and dependable individual.
  • Possess a valid and unblemished driver's license, with full access to a vehicle being a essential.
  • Exhibit a caring and kind demeanor, embracing a person-centered approach when interacting with clients.
  • Hold a QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Care Skills, Care of the Older Person or an equivalent qualification, or be open to working towards obtaining one with the support of WHC.
  • Showcase effective communication and practical skills.
  • While experience in a health or social care setting is desirable, it is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities of the role:
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the well-being of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client care activities.
