Our client is a leading construction firm specialising in complete building services, including general engineering, civil engineering, fit-out, and demolition. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. As they expand their operations into Galway, I seek a skilled Construction Site Foreman to join their team in Galway, with the potential to join other projects across the country.Job Description: I am seeking an experienced Construction Site Foreman to oversee a construction project in Galway. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a temporary contract position with the opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidate open to working across various locations in Ireland.Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate construction activities according to project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and motivate on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and labourers.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Enforce quality control procedures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the site as needed.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports and progress photos.
  • Regular inspections should be conducted to identify potential safety hazards or construction defects.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement efficient construction schedules.
Requirements: * 3 to 5 years of experience working as a construction site foreman or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues on-site.
  • Sound knowledge of the construction industry's health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel and work across various locations in Ireland as required.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management or a related field are desirable.
