
R&D Engineer

- Contribute to the development and optimisation of Critical Power Products for the data centre market - focusing on reliability, efficiency, and scalability
- Conduct market research and evaluate similar products and their functions
- Apply engineering principles to create innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions
- Participate in the design and development of new products from concept to prototype
- Redesign and test existing products to enhance functionality, improve manufacturability, or reduce costs
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and performance
- Plan and execute product testing, including functional, environmental, and compliance tests (IEC and UL)
- Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables; provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and escalate issues when needed
- Support lab activities and coordinate with internal and external test engineers
- Analyze test results and iterate designs to meet performance and reliability targets
- Conduct investigations and root cause analysis to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate technical reports to document findings and support decision-making
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring smooth transition from
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- 3+ years of experience in Engineering, product development or R&D role
- Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering simulation software
- Familiarity with IEC and UL standards, particularly for Switchgear, Busway, and related power distribution systems
- Experience with Electrical testing protocols and lab environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
- Strong self-management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, vendors and/or customers.
- Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization from production associates through executives.
- Possess a driving licence and have willingness to travel between sites
