The Senior Project Manager will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects in UK market within the Wastewater and Water sectors.Core role requirements:As a Senior Project Manager, being an integral part of a larger team is crucial for success in this position. Your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Overseeing comprehensive project planning, including the design and implementation of wastewater networks, pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Facilitating coordination among mechanical, civil, structural, and electrical aspects of water and wastewater projects to ensure a cohesive system design.
  • Engaging with equipment suppliers and manufacturers for design assistance and selection of suitable equipment/components, preferably in the UK.
  • Managing communications with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Preparing and managing the Project Design Programme and reporting of same to the client
  • Managing the contractual and commercial aspects of the project
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and oversight to the design team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Ensuring the quality of work aligns with design specifications and project requirements, readying them for commissioning.
  • Overseeing the preparation and execution of commissioning documentation and processes as needed.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across project processes.
  • Offering technical guidance to junior engineers and staff, enhancing team competence and project outcomes.
  • This role demands a proactive, leadership-focused individual with a commitment to excellence in project management and team development.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, with a preference for those who have led Wastewater and/or Water projects from their initial concept through to their successful completion in the UK.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment facilities.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is preferred, particularly with a specialization or interest in Wastewater Engineering. Exceptional candidates from other engineering backgrounds such as Process, Chemical or Electrical, who demonstrate a keen ability in the wastewater sector, will also be considered.
  • Proven project management abilities, highlighted by the successful management of several projects in tandem.
  • A thorough understanding of the industry's standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced skills in technical writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and the capability to collaborate effectively within diverse, multi-disciplinary, and multi-cultural teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the aptitude for prioritizing tasks, juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • An adaptable, solution-focused approach with a "Can Do" attitude.
  • A self-motivated individual who sets high standards for themselves.
