Chief Medical Scientist - Microbiology

• Manage Microbiology Laboratory and staff.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 15189 standards and quality management.

• Oversee health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and staff training.

• Authorize and ensure accuracy of laboratory results.

• Collaborate with consultants and clinicians on patient safety.

• Bachelor's & Master's degree in biomedical science.

• CORU registered as Medical Scientist.

• HCPC registered as Biomedical Scientist.

• 7+ years full-time clinical experience in Microbiology.

• Minimum 2 years as a Senior Medical Scientist.

• Strong organizational skills and technical proficiency.

• Leadership ability to support team development.

• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems.

• Thorough knowledge of ISO 15189 requirements.
