The role will be primarily focused on providing our clients with support on anaerobic digestion projects. Projects will involve a wide range of AD technologies including wet and dry AD, biogas upgrading to biomethane, and carbon capture. Our projects involve us leading and supporting other specialists on a range of projects both in the UK and overseas.You will work with others in the process engineering team and other disciplines across the business including the Advisory, Environmental Management and Compliance, Land and Water and Environmental Specialist Services Groups on a wide variety of different projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the provision of technical input and support on anaerobic digestion projects across the life of a project;
- Lead the review of third-party designs, technical proposals and operational models and writing technical due diligence reports for funders;
- Preparing technical and procurement documentation and schematics/drawings;
- Leading the preparation of models to determine plant energy and mass balances, emission rates and financial/operational models including thermodynamic calculations and basic financial metrics;
- Manage staff who will undertake on-site inspection, witnessing, verification and supervision of construction, commissioning, and testing projects and troubleshooting of operational plant including waste and recycling operations (thermal, mechanical, biological) and other renewable energy and sustainability-based projects;
- Assisting other teams within SLR with technical and process engineering aspects of diverse projects
- The role will involve travel to client sites as required

You will have a degree in engineering and experience of decarbonisation projects. You will be able to work as part of a team and fit into SLR’s One Team culture. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident and friendly.
In order to succeed, we would envisage that you would be able to bring/demonstrate:Essential
- Degree in Engineering or similar subject;
- Experience in process engineering projects, preferably in a consultancy environment;
- Project Management experience;
- Numerate and confident with data, basic modelling with excellent report writing skills and IT literate, particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Must be able to work independently and within a team;
- Well organised and logical thinker, friendly and outgoing with good communication skills; and
- Full, current driving licence valid in Ireland
· Masters degree;
