We are currently recruiting for a senior manager role to join our growing Compliance team in Ireland. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, driven compliance professional who is looking grow and develop within a compliance team in a fast-growing financial services firm.
You will work closely with other members of the Senior Management team and compliance teams across Carne's global locationsWhat are the minimum requirements for the role?
- University degree (or equivalent qualification).
- Compliance or other relevant qualification.
- Sound grasp of European legal and regulatory framework.
- 3-5 years' funds industry experience in compliance or Depositary.
- Good knowledge of the UCITS and AIFMD regulatory environment.
- Ability to work on own, make decisions and work within a team
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyse complex issues.
- Experience in working with Seniors across the organisation and providing credible challenge where necessary
- Strong ability to evaluate regulations and translate the operational impact.
- Experience in developing and carrying out a Compliance Monitoring Programme.
- Active participation in the execution of Carne's compliance monitoring plan.
- Support the Head of Compliance ad DP for Regulatory Compliance including with all Regulatory interactions with competent authorities.
- Oversee the effectiveness of the systems and controls (including documented policies and procedures) in place within the first line of defence (the “business”) and make recommendations on future developments.
- Monitor regulatory developments and work with business to ensure process updates to ensure continued compliance.
- Oversee the ongoing maintenance of various logs and registers.
- Oversee the mandatory annual staff training program.
- Oversee the regulatory change process including identification, reporting to stakeholders, overseeing implementation within the firm.
- Assist in preparation of periodic reports to the Board and governance committees, as appropriate, on compliance issues (including findings/recommendations of the CMP) that need to be brought to its attention.
- Providing advice and assistance to the business with regulatory matters and in meeting regulatory standards and expectations.
- Responsible for oversight of analysis and consideration on regulatory matters impacting Carne's management companies' activities as a UCITS management company and AIFM.
- Prepare relevant management information for presentation to the stakeholders and upon request to clients.
- Collaborate with the Onboarding, Legal and Oversight teams regarding oversight of third parties.
- Oversee Carne's regulatory reporting requirements to regulators.
- Represent the Compliance function in local or group wide working groups and project teams.
- Continue the development of a robust compliance culture.
