Permanent/full timeKey Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely follow-up on findings and action plans
  • Lead staff induction programmes and support ongoing training and development initiatives
  • Encourage and promote innovative practices in care delivery
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and HIQA standards
  • Organise and facilitate regular communication meetings with clinical staff
  • Build strong relationships with external community agencies and support resident participation in local activities
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to enhance the Home’s profile within the local community
  • Implement and monitor the Company Health & Safety Policy to protect staff, residents, and visitors
  • Coordinate regular fire training sessions and maintain effective evacuation procedures
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Home
  • Ensure a preventative maintenance programme is in place and effectively managed
  • Participate in recruitment, including interviewing and selection of staff
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis to support staff development
  • Provide cover for the Director of Nursing when required
  • Ensure clinical practices within the Home meet all relevant regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years’ management experience within the last 6 years, specifically in the care of older persons
  • Post-registration qualification in management, healthcare, or a related field
  • Proven track record in clinical management within a healthcare environment
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
