  • Specialist knowledge in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, including complex health needs, dual diagnoses and behavioural challenges. • A thorough understanding of evidence-based interventions, health promotion, and advocacy within the context of intellectual disability services is required. • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, mentorship, supervision and support to the clinical team. • Experience in service development, quality improvement and implementation of best practice guidelines. • The HSE provides a wide range of community-based services for people with Intellectual Disabilities and co-existing conditions in various social circumstances within the Regional Health Area. These services are strategically evolving and developing within the Regional Health Area and the Clinical Nurse Specialist (Intellectual Disabilities Health and well- being) have a pivotal role in the growth of these services.
