Job Description: Edenderry Sports and Others is a voluntary community organisation which provides employment to participants in Edenderry and surrounds, supporting community and cultural clubs and organisations, through funding provided by the Department of Social Protection (DSP). We are seeking to recruit a CE Assistant Supervisor (12-month contract) who will support the effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme. Main duties: Assist in the business administration of the project as directed by the Sponsor. Assist the CE Supervisor in the sourcing of costing effective training/development opportunities to meet the training needs identified in participants Individual Learning Plans (ILPs). Provide effective supervisory cover in the absence of the CE Supervisor as directed by the Sponsor. Assist in ensuring the CE scheme is compliant with financial, and programme and training monitoring requirements as detailed in the relevant CE procedures. Key Requirements: Previous supervisory and people management experience relevant to the post (1 year minimum) Competent in the administrative, technical and participant development aspects of the project Excellent computer skills e.g. Word, Excel, Internet, e-mail. Excellent team working, communication and inter-personal skills Ability to direct, motivate, coach and mentor jobseekers Experience of project management A full driver's licence and own car Desirable Requirements: Good understanding of adult and community education in a community-based setting A capacity to initiate and develop a strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work on own initiative The successful applicant will commence at Point 2 of the Assistant Supervisor wage grant funding scale unless currently working as an Assistant CE Supervisor
