- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate mechanical cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to understand project scope and requirements.
- Identify and quantify all material, labor, and equipment costs necessary for project completion.
- Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals, ensuring all work is priced competitively and accurately.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure estimates account for potential issues or unforeseen costs.
- Maintain an organized database of cost information and historical data for future reference.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends, pricing changes, and best practices in mechanical estimating.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and an understanding of construction processes.
- Proficient in estimating software and tools, along with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
