Department: Health & SafetyReports to: Operations DirectorLocation: Multi Site (with Travel to Client Premises)Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage health, safety and environmental compliance across our multi-site operations. This is a hands-on management role, supporting both day-to-day compliance and long-term safety culture development within Samsic Facility.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health & safety policies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Manage risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Oversee safety documentation (RAMS, SSOW, SDS) and ergonomic assessments.
  • Monitor training compliance and deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
  • Lead fleet safety and driving compliance across the company’s vehicle fleet.
  • Support the company’s environmental and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure readiness for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 audits and maintain certifications.
  • Manage a small team and work closely with managers and clients to drive a positive safety culture.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a health & safety leadership role, ideally across multiple sites
  • Strong knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation and ISO standards
  • Proven experience in incident management, risk control and compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to travel to various company and client locations
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in sectors such as facilities management, data centres, cleanrooms or regulated environments
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Experience with ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) initiatives and reporting
  • Familiarity with HIQA, GMP or other regulated standards
  • Manual Handling and Safe Pass instructor certification (or oversight experience)
