- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, drawings and reports.
- Routine maintenance and monitoring on ESB assets.
- Plan and conduct topographical surveys and construction set-outs.
- Assist with coordinating and managing subcontractors.
- Comply with departmental quality and data management procedures.
- Provide input on surveying related activities to internal and external parties.
- Keep up to date with industry standards and deliverables.
- Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics or Engineering).
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience possessing a strong understanding of common industry practices.
- Be competent using the latest surveying technology (hardware and software) and have a strong knowledge of current CAD technology.
- Possess a positive attitude to health and safety, with experience in drafting risk assessments and method statements for surveying activities.
- Set high standards for themselves and their work output.
- Show a high level of commitment and flexibility.
- Full clean drivers' license.
- A SUA (drone) pilot license and/or demonstrated competence in the operation of drones for surveying purposes.
- Qualifications/competency in AutoCAD 3D software.
- Competency in Pix4D or similar professional drone mapping and photogrammetry software.
- Competency in terrestrial laser scanning and processing of point cloud data.
- Experience with permit to work system on construction sites.
- Have an aptitude for learning new software applications.
- Demonstrated competence and record as a problem solver with a positive attitude.
- Possess superior organisational and time management skills.
- Have Strong Leadership, excellent communication, and presentation skills.
