- Assist in the management and development of the shop in accordance with an agreed workplan and sales targets
- Assist in training, supervising and managing shop staff, paid and voluntary
- Ensue the shop is kept clean, safe, secure and tidy and adheres to brand standards
- Assist in stock merchandising- preparing and pricing for sale and display
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service
- Cash handling, cash reconciliation, cash security and reporting to the IDS accounts department
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, motivation and staff & volunteer satisfaction
- Promote IDS Awareness and Education campaigns within the shop
- Undertake any other duties that may fall under the remit of Charity Shop Supervisor.
- Retail supervision experience and /or charity retail experience
- Experience handling cash and cash reconciliation
- Excellent sales techniques and ability to meet sales targets
- Demonstrate leadership skills and an ability to motivate a diverse team
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Respect for Deaf culture and a willingness to learn Irish Sign Language
- A retail qualification
- Good general IT skills and proficient in MS Office
- Visual merchandising experience
