Hartley People Recruitment are working with a long-established gaming and entertainment business that’s been part of the Irish leisure scene for over 40 years.They’re now looking for an Assistant Manager to join one of their clubs in Cork City and help lead a small, close-knit team on the ground. If you’re hands-on, people-focused, and thrive in a busy environment, this could be the perfect fit.What the role involves:As Assistant Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of day-to-day operations. You’ll support the Retail Manager, lead by example, and help ensure every customer has a great experience.Your key responsibilities:
- Supporting the Retail Manager with the smooth running of the venue
- Delivering a high standard of customer service
- Resolving customer issues in a calm, professional manner
- Leading, motivating, and developing your team
- Helping to recruit and train new team members
- Taking ownership of key processes and making sure procedures are followed
- Playing an active role in new initiatives and improving how things are done
- At least 2 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role
- Good organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Confident communication – both with customers and your team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and picking up new systems
- A calm, solutions-focused approach to challenging situations
