You will work closely with the Site Foreman and Project Manager as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver cutting-edge projects.Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • The Chargehand leads a crew of direct & subcontract labour, while remaining on their tools.
  • Support the Foreman / Site Supervisor with the daily site management tasks.
  • Ensure scope of work is delivered
  • Ensure all additional requests outside the scope are captured and communicated to project Quantity Surveyor (QS) team.
  • Ensure no breaches of Health and Safety protocols.
  • Always be a role model for “best in class” quality standards throughout the project by ensuring they themselves are synonymous with these standards.
  • Actively develop a culture where safety & quality are central to the mindset of each crew member
  • Ensure works are carried out to a high standard while complying with building regulations, National Rules for Electrical Installations, Health and Safety and environmental standards.
  • Provide LOTO when and where required
  • Ensure all permits / SPA's required for the planned works are in place
This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise relating to commercial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, blue chip, construction, and other sectors. The successful candidate will be supported in developing their knowledge and skills as their responsibilities grow and evolve.Skills and RequirementsTo excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum Level 6 of the QQI Certificate in Electrical Craft Practice or equivalent
  • Have completed the Electrical Verification & Certification course with a Qualified Certifier (QC) number would be advantageous.
  • LOTO Experience
  • Demonstrable a high level of technical knowledge with practical application.
