Support Worker | Metges Road Job descriptionWhat’s the Role: Support WorkerWhat It Takes:An important part of the staff role is to support our individuals who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions.So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their independence skills which includes tasks such as shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, taking medication. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.Where You Would Work: Metges RoadMetges Road in Navan is a supported living service which will open in January 2024. It is home to people we support. You will work within both a supported living service and residential service. The service is 24/7, 365 days year. Each person we support has their own bedroom and share a bathroom upstairs and another downstairs. There is a kitchen/diner and a big spacious sitting room.Each person we support has an individualised care and support plan which is tailored to their needs.
