We are seeking an experienced and skilled Panel Beater to join our workshop in Ireland. The role involves repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to a high standard, ensuring safety and quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing damage, removing, repairing, and replacing panels, straightening chassis, welding, and finishing vehicles to manufacturer specifications. This position covers a wide range of vehicles, including cars, light commercial vehicles, coaches, and buses. Key tasks include: Assessing damage to cars, vans, coaches, and buses, and preparing repair estimates. Removing, repairing, and replacing damaged panels and body components. Using specialist tools and equipment including welders, hydraulic presses, and measuring systems. Carrying out body alignment and chassis straightening on large vehicles. Ensuring finishing work is completed to a high standard in preparation for painting. Working in compliance with Health & Safety regulations, particularly when handling heavy commercial vehicles. Key Requirements: Qualified Panel Beater with relevant trade certification or time-served apprenticeship. Proven experience in accident repair/bodyshop environment, ideally including coaches and buses. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle structures, repair methods, and commercial vehicle bodywork. Ability to use welding, metalworking, and body alignment equipment for both cars and large vehicles. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship. Full clean Irish/EU driving licence (D licence an advantage). Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
